This year’s club championship took place on the 7th and 8th of December in the Flurstraße. The tournament was as usual a hit with around 40 players with many exciting games. The tournament started off at 9:30 AM with the mixed doubles in both A and B category. After multiple close games in the group round and the knockout stage could Ayano t and Victor C win the title. After this tight match Vadim U and Pia L had to settle with the second place. In the B class, Linh N and Osman secured the first place. Once mixed doubles was over, the action continued with women’s singles A and men’s singles B. There were many exciting games in the women’s singles where the highlight was the final between Ayano T and Pia L. After some great rallies and shots, Pia L won the title. In men’s singles B, the title was secured by Dimitri M.
Around 3 PM, the men’s doubles B as well as the women’s doubles A started. In men’s doubles B, the finals was between Naman O/Praneeth G against Tom M/Dimitri M. After a well fought game, Praneeth G and Naman O won the first place. The men’s doubles A final was the highlight of the evening with an intense match between Victor C/Hoa P and Vadim U/Saad U. After many fierce rallies and dives, Vadim U and Saad U emerged as the winners. The women’s doubles disciple also did not fail to deliver multiple exciting clashes. The final was played between Pia L/Ayano T and Aarati D/Zexi X which turned to be a marathon game with some great rallies. In the end Zexi X and Aarati D managed to win the game to become the club champions.
Finally the prize distribution ceremony was held by Daniel K which was then followed by a small christmas celebration.
The men’s singles A was played on the next day with 10 participants. Here too the competition was fierce with many three set games. After a long day of singles, Nong D emerged as the winner.
